Ford have launched a microsite for a new Focus RS500 featuring a countdown timer and a night time video of the car been driving, sporting the title ‘Ford Focus RS – The Story Continues’.
The details are scarce to say the least, but we know that Ford have provided the Focus RS500 with more power, some eye-catching new styling and that it will be a strictly ‘limited-edition’ model, much like it’s fore runner.
Could there be a 2nd Irish Driver appearing in the Falken Colours in Formula D ? It seems so as rumours surface of James Deane making the transition to Formula D from Prodrift in Calvin Wan’s former S15. The S15 had quite a season filled with crashes and controversial runs in 2009. Falken has apparently hired Irishman James Deane to fill the shoes of Mr. Wan in the car. Calvin was relieved of duties sometime late last year and we didn’t think much was going to come of the car but recent rumors and hints from some people have told us this will happen.

As if we weren’t already excited enough over the Toyota FT-86, this truly awesome AE86 Trueno-inspired model appeared as the G Sports Turbo Concept at the Tokyo Auto Salon.
Most details of this car are vague other than mentioning it has a horizontally-opposed 2.0-litre turbo engine (Impreza Sourced Perhaps ?) with rear-wheel drive and a six-speed manual. The white paint job and the carbon fibre black bonnet clearly hint at the AE86, though the name seems more like the GT-S. One does wonder with the Impreza Engine’s previous hand grenade temperament for taking abuse, is this a wise choice for the ‘drifter’ generation.
The Full Concept is to be release at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show

For those that aren’t all that familiar with the Irish Rally Scene , Kevin Lynch (KPL Contracts) is a rally driver who has a couple of WRC cars, his son Sean set up a production company and has created this video of his aul lad in action, so on an August day in 2009 the Nutts Corner area was covered in tyre scree and filled with the sounds of Rally Cars doing what they do best.

After last week’s official announcement from Toyota prior to the Tokyo Motor Show, further pictures have now been posted on the enthusiast forum ft86club.com.
Showing the FT-86 Concept being photographed in the studio we get a much better impression of the design and detailing of Toyota’s forthcoming sportscar.
